Overview
The Email Settings Module in SocietyPro allows administrators to configure SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings to send emails seamlessly from the platform.
Key Features
- SMTP Configuration: Set up email sending via an SMTP server.
- Enable/Disable Email Queue: Choose whether emails should be queued before sending.
- Encryption Options: Select between SSL/TLS for secure email transmission.
- Test SMTP: Verify SMTP settings before saving.
Accessing the Email Settings Module
- Log in to SocietyPro.
- Navigate to Settings > Email Settings.
- Update SMTP details as required.
Steps to Configure SMTP Settings |
- Enter Mail From Name & Email
- Example: SocietyPro (Name), from@email.com (Email).
- Set Up SMTP Server Details
- SMTP Host: e.g.,
smtp.gmail.com
. - SMTP Port:
465
(SSL) or587
(TLS). - Encryption: Choose
SSL

- SMTP Host: e.g.,
- Enter Authentication Credentials
- Mail Username: Example:
myemail@gmail.com
. - Mail Password: Provide the SMTP password.
- Mail Username: Example:
- Enable Email Queue (Optional)
- Set to Yes if emails should be queued.
- Save & Test SMTP
- Click Test SMTP to verify the settings.
- If successful, click Save to apply changes.
Troubleshooting
1. Error: "Your SMTP details are not correct. Please update to the correct one."
- Double-check SMTP Host, Port, Username, and Password.
- Ensure the correct encryption (SSL/TLS) is selected.
2. Email Not Sending?
- Check SMTP authentication settings.
- Verify that the SMTP server allows third-party access.
- Try using an App Password if using Gmail.
