Task approval provides option for a task to be approved by admin or project admin first before it is complete. The employee sends an approval request for the task which later is monitored by admin or project admin.
Working : -
In Project section, option is provided ( Task needs approval by Admin/Project Admin ) to enable or disable the task approval feature.
Once the option is enabled, employee cannot directly mark task as complete under that project. First, employee needs to send approval request for that task which later admin or project admin will monitor( if selected in project members ).
Once approval request is sent -> the task goes under review for admin. The status of task is changed to waiting approval, which later can be changed by admin or project admin only. Admin can then approve the task and mark it as complete or can change the status of the task according to the requirement with a reason.
If employee change status of task as complete -> a modal appears stating that the task needs administrator approval first before it is mark completed : -
Also there is a specific tab for waiting approval tasks for users to make it quick and easy for users to monitor all tasks which is under review.
Here, both admin and project admin can regulate the status of the task with the help of status drop down. As stated above, here admin can approve the task by marking it complete or change it to other status ( doing, incomplete, etc. ). On changing status other than complete, a pop up modal shows up on screen in which admin can justify the reason for changing the task status. On complete, task is directly marked as completed.
